Nothing is safer than a sweet cozy home. Most of us bought budget homes(Budget-Friendly Tips) with our savings not fully aware of the climatic crisis and rising inflation. Walls

What if, there was a product that is as good as earth and came in beautiful textures, in completion with modern emulsions…An eco-friendly paint made of cow dung, yes! it is available on E-commerce sites. Search for cow-dung-based paints…and you will have multiple options. Select your favorite shade/pigment. This will make your home toxic-free and look fresh and new.

Flooring

To do up your floors, look for recycled wooden flooring, there are also carpets made from recycled denim and jute available online…

Each room/space can be demarcated by different flooring, living space on wooden floors, and bedding space with recycled carpet. There is no need to rip off your existing floor, you can just add on to it.

In multi-level high-rise living...We do not get to be in touch with the earth, To compact this, there is a therapy called Grounding

Grounding is a healing method that relieves you of any stress-induced pain. In small apartments, where there is no possibility of lawn space or gardens…

There is a need to mimic the earthing effect through equipment like grounding mats/cushions/pillows…A 15-20 minutes of grounding does a great deal of relief to the body from lifestyle-induced stress. Hence this is a good investment.

Furniture and Decore

Investing in old vintage pieces from a scrap dealer is a very effective way of saving trees and saving money too… You can pick up an old run-down chest of drawers/center table/wooden box, and get it polished and repaired and it will be as good as new. A local carpenter can help with this.

Look for unused fabrics like sarees and dupattas in your wardrobe, your mother/sister's wardrobe...Get them stitched into curtains or screens between 2 spaces.

You can also use some loose beads from broken necklaces or buy some wooden beads and wooden bangles from handicraft shops (wooden toy shops available in Khadi Gram Udyog)

Use faded T-shirts and old denims, there are a lot of craft ideas to make door mats with these old clothes...they will become part of your décor if done properly.

Shop for some lampshades from the handicraft exhibitions and some random antique-looking showpieces. Place them on tables, window sill, etc.

Having the sense to spend less on décor and have more spending power to invest in a healthy routine is a smart move than having an Instagram-able home but constantly suffering from stress, aches and pains.

Create Green Spaces

Buy some indoor plants and place them in good-looking ceramic or mud planters and place them near the main door and balcony door.

Buy tiny cute cactus plants with interesting designs and place them in bathrooms...

Buy some mosquito-repellent candles and parading-free perfume wax available on Amazon and place them in bathrooms and bedrooms to highlight the ambiance.

If you have a friend who paints, Gift them some art supplies and ask them to make a painting for you...This will be a nice personalized art piece in your home and your aspiring artist friend will be thrilled to see her creation displayed on your wall.

Let me know if these tips are useful... If there is something else you do, to make your home eco-friendly...Pls do comment
