Tribes are mostly situated in remote areas of the village, extreme corners of our Country, and far from the civilised world. They keep their tradition, culture, and individuality very well. 1.Bhils Tribe
Bhils are one of the oldest tribes in India, they belong to the States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. According to studies, the term Bhil is obtained from the word billa or billu which means bow in the Dravidian lexis. These communities are living in the forest and hills of Rajasthan’s southern parts and surrounding regions of Western India.
Bhills are one of the largest tribal groups, they are known to be excellent archers with deep knowledge of their native geography. The most vibrant part of the Bhills is their unique dress-up and exclusive attire. Bhill Women wear traditional saris and men are dressed in long frocks and pyjamas. The woman wears heavy ornaments along with rosaries of beads silver coins and earrings.

2.Munda Tribe
The Munda Tribe are an ethnic group of the Indian subcontinent, they belong to the South and East Chota Nagpur Plateau region of Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Munda is one of the largest scheduled tribes in India.
·Culture and Tradition
Munda tribes have their religion called ‘Sarna’ but usually they follow Christianity. These tribes believe in the supreme power of Singbonga which means the Sun God. The Munda People are mainly superstitious and blindly adopt laws from their culture and tradition. For centuries they have worked as a hunter, but now they converted into agriculturists. But their main job is working as a laborer. Munda people wear simple yet unique dresses in daily life, Men wear a cotton loincloth with colourful borders known as botox and a piece of cloth or a blanket-like thing covering their upper body. Women wear cotton saris with a choli or blouse.

Usually, Mundas speak in Mundari language which belongs to an Austroasiatic ethnic group.
Munda, one of the oldest tribes in India has eaten mainly boiled rice which is called the staple food of Mundas. They also love to eat several vegetables, such as onions, eggplant, radishes, beans, and sweet potato.

The Munda tribe loves to celebrate a variety of festivals, such as Mage, Phagu, Sarhul, Karam, and Sohrai. The most famous festival of Mundas is Sarhul which is celebrated in the month of March-April. Sarhul is the festival of flowers, when the Saal trees bring new flowers on their branches, they celebrate this festival. They worship the saal tress as a protector of tribes.
3.Santhal Tribes
Santhal Tribes are the third largest tribe in India. The Santhal tribes are mostly found in the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, and Bihar. Studies suggested that Santhal belonged to the pre-Aryan period and they were brave warriors during the British colonial period. They are a brave community as they give so many noble people. Now they are living in their golden era. President of India, Draupadi Murmu generous lady is from the Santhal community also.
They mainly depend on the forest for a living and also work as farmers, fishers, and hunters. They are one of the most talented tribes, Santhals can make extraordinary-looking musical instruments, mats, and baskets out of the plants.
·Culture and Tradition
Generally, Santhals follows the Sarna religion, and they worship God and Goddess like- Marangburu, Jaheraera, and Manjhi. The unknown and unique fact about this tribe is, that they also give respect to ghosts and evil spirits like- Kal Sing, Lakchera, Beudarang etc. Santhal people love to dance in festivals and after the whole day’s work with their signature step, Santhal women wear a red-bordered white sari and dance in line. They are music lovers, and for enjoyment, they play Tirio a bamboo flute and Tumdak, Tamak, Junko, and Singa.

Most of the Santhal tribe speaks the Santali language, apart from that they can communicate in multiple languages such as Bengali, Oriya and Hindi. The amazing speciality of the Santhali language is that it possesses three extra vowels along with six regular ones.
The Santhal tribe likes to eat simple forms of food, and their diet is mainly based on nature. Rice is the staple food of the Santhal tribe, and they also intake vegetable leaves daily. They are also very fond of eating meat adding beef and pork.
