With its influence on almost every aspect of daily existence, the Internet has emerged as one of the most crucial technical advances of our time. Our global Internet Society promotes, highlights, and advances the growth of the Internet as a global technical infrastructure. It functions as a tool to improve people’s lives and increase modern society. 


The way we interact, live, and work with each other has been shaped by the internet, which has altered communication, information sharing, business, education, and social interactions since its creation. 


However, the impact of the Internet on Society has both positive and negative sides. Here, I discuss the Impact of the Internet on Society.

The positive impacts of the Internet include providing effective communication to every part of the world using instant messaging, emailing, and social media services. The most mind-boggling thing is that the internet has made the world a tiny place, enabling communication devices with people across the globe.

  • Revolutionized Communication- First and foremost, the Internet has transformed communication faster and more efficiently. People are becoming keen and used to Email, instant messaging, and various Social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. These up-to-date devices replaced traditional forms of communication like- letter writing, telephone calls, Telegram, and face-to-face conversation with one sip of coffee. 


The internet has made it possible to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world. Nowadays, with the availability of the internet, the people of isolated regions and remote areas can be connected with the whole world. The Internet has led to a more associated, utilized, and globalized society. 


  •     New Communication channels- The Internet has invented new channels for communication with core areas worldwide. Due to these channels, people are getting a chance to explore more, ample knowledge that can intake more, and global recognition enhances more. The trending channels have changed how we communicate earlier, making it easier and soufull to get in touch with near and dear ones. 


The valuable and practical examples of new communication pillars were Social media, Emails, Phone calls, Instant messaging, Text messages, Chatbots, Corporate Blogs, Live chat, and Contact forms. 


  •  The upsurge of citizen journalism-  Citizen journalism is a kind of journalism that is conducted by people who are not hardcore professional journalists. However, they disseminate information using Websites, blogs, and social media. 


The Internet made citizen journalism more feasible by developing several online Internet platforms.

The technologies are social networking media sharing websites and the enhancing prevalence of cellular telephones, which have made citizen journalism more accessible to people worldwide.
